How to Clear Google AI Mode History & Turn It Off
Google AI Mode can save your search and AI activity to your Google Account. If you want more control over your privacy, you can delete your previous AI Mode activity and turn off activity saving where the option is available.
What Is Google AI Mode History?
Google AI Mode is designed to provide more conversational and detailed answers to your searches. Depending on your Google Account settings, information about your searches and interactions may be saved as activity.
If you don't want your previous AI-related searches stored in your account, you can review and delete your activity from Google's activity controls.
How to Clear Google AI Mode History
Step 1: Open Your Google Account
First, open the Google app on your Android or iPhone, or visit your Google Account from a web browser.
Make sure you are signed in to the Google Account where you used Google AI Mode.
Step 2: Open Your Activity Settings
Tap your Google profile picture and look for Search history or Search activity. You can also open your Google Account and go to the Data & privacy section.
Step 3: Find Your AI and Search Activity
In your activity history, review the searches and AI-related activity associated with your account.
Depending on your account and Google's current interface, the exact name and location of these settings may be different.
Step 4: Delete Your Activity
You can delete individual activities or remove activity from a specific time period.
If you want to remove everything available through the selected activity control, choose Delete and then select the appropriate time range, such as Today, Last hour, or All time.
